Hooked on the Game(2009)

Hooked on the Game is a sci-fi action film about elite esports champions who win a mysterious CD at a tournament. When they play the game, their virtual skills manifest as real-world superpowers—they become unbeatable fighters, shooters, and racers. Authorities quickly exploit them through blackmail, forcing them into covert operations under false pretenses. The gamers soon discover they're not national heroes but hired assassins, and the game's creator has produced dozens more CDs capable of creating an army of enhanced operatives. Desperate to prevent catastrophe, the team splinters into factions: one determined to destroy the discs, the other tempted by the prospect of building an unstoppable force. As trust crumbles and ideologies clash, the former allies become bitter enemies in a high-stakes battle for control.
