Mars & Venus(2007)

Mars & Venus is a Danish comedy about a couple navigating the gap between domestic reality and personal ambition. Ida, an architect, and Mathias, a production manager, have built a comfortable life with two children, but the spark of their relationship has dimmed under the weight of everyday responsibilities. She earns more than he does. Their apartment feels cramped. Sex is a distant memory. When Mathias impulsively buys an old wooden sailboat without consulting Ida, the purchase becomes a flashpoint for their unspoken frustrations and competing dreams. Ida wants to complete her career's defining project. Mathias craves freedom and adventure on the water. What begins as a marital crisis becomes an unexpected journey of rediscovery as the couple confronts what they've sacrificed for stability and whether their relationship can survive their true desires.
