Karamurat: The Sultan's Warrior(1973)

Karamurat: The Sultan's Warrior is a historical action film set during the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople. When Sultan Khan's proposal for Princess Iren of Byzantium is rejected, her father Niktol attempts to assassinate him, sparking a brutal military campaign that sees Istanbul fall to Ottoman forces. Niktol kills the princess and retreats to the island of Lesbos, where he wages a devastating campaign against Turkish villages. The death of his mother in one of these raids compels Murat, a guard in the Sultan's service, to undertake a dangerous mission: infiltrate Lesbos under the false identity of Royal Guard Kostas and hunt down those responsible for both the princess's death and his mother's murder. What unfolds is a tense tale of vengeance, loyalty, and survival amid the chaos of empire.
