Buffet Titanic(1979)

Buffet Titanic is a World War II drama set in Sarajevo, based on a short story by Nobel Prize-winning Yugoslav author Ivo Andrić. The film follows Mento, a poor Jewish café owner, whose life intersects with Stjepan, a man of mysterious origins who has joined the Nazi forces seeking to leave his mark on the world. As the war tightens its grip on the city, their unlikely connection explores themes of survival, identity, and the moral compromises people make in times of darkness. The film captures the tension and desperation of occupied Sarajevo through the lens of two men caught on opposite sides of history.
