Hauptmann Kreutzer(1978)

Hauptmann Kreutzer is a German film about a Bundeswehr captain who deserts and attempts to flee to Denmark. At Puttgarden station, military police intercept him and force him back onto a Munich-bound train. When two bank robbers board the same carriage and open fire on the soldiers, Kreutzer is thrust into an unexpected alliance with the surviving criminal. What begins as a desperate escape becomes a darkly comic journey as the captain and the fugitive gangster navigate their strange partnership.
