Bin ich sexy? is a German coming-of-age film about Mareike, a 15-year-old girl determined to become a model despite living in a small village in the Palatinate region where her family dismisses her ambitions. Her appearance doesn't match conventional fashion standards, yet Mareike refuses to be discouraged. Her resolve is tested when she develops an autoimmune disorder that causes sudden hair loss, shattering her world and forcing her to confront what it truly means to be beautiful.
