Jadzia(1936)

Jadzia is a Polish comedy built on mistaken identity and romantic entanglement. Two women named Jadzia—a tennis champion and a charismatic sports shop owner—become caught in a web of confusion when Jan Oksza, a representative from a rival Warsaw sports equipment company, mistakes one for the other. Hoping to secure an endorsement deal with the champion, he instead pursues Maliczówna, the shop owner, while his friend poses as a sculptor to help with the scheme. As misunderstandings pile up and schemes unravel, genuine feeling develops between Jadzia and Jan, ultimately bridging the gap between the two competing companies. The film balances physical comedy with the slow-burn chemistry of its leads.
