A Man Against the Law(1988)

A Man Against the Law is a drama following Faraj, a teacher released from prison after serving time for fraud involving building materials. Returning to his old neighborhood, Faraj attempts to reclaim a house from his neighbor, citing a preliminary purchase contract signed before his incarceration. His plan is to demolish the property and build a larger structure in its place. The neighbor refuses to complete the deal, particularly because he has rented one of the apartments to Laila, a young journalist who lives with her mother. Complications arise when Mohsen, the owner's son, develops feelings for Laila, creating tension between Faraj's ambitions and the lives of those now tied to the house.
