The Spirit of the Sword(1982)

The Spirit of the Sword is a martial arts film set in a world ruled by five elemental clans—fire, metal, water, wood, and earth. Each year, these clans compete in a tournament to determine which will govern the martial realm. The story unfolds around one such competition, disrupted when a ruthless samurai assassin arrives 49 days before the tournament begins. His target: the current leader of the Water clan. As the killer moves through the ranks, the clans must confront both external threats and internal rivalries. Tension builds toward the tournament as the clans race to protect their leader and uncover the assassin's true motives, setting the stage for an explosive clash of martial prowess and elemental power.
