Smrť prichádza v daždi is a Slovak detective film set in contemporary Bratislava. When Olga Holešová is found dead, suspicion falls on ordinary people caught in their own everyday struggles. Investigator Jakubec must navigate a tangled web of motives: a husband's infidelity, a missing fortune that treasurer Fiala must account for, and a lawyer supplementing his income through side work. Strange coincidences and mounting complications obscure the truth at every turn. As Jakubec sifts through the conflicting evidence and personal secrets of those involved, he gradually uncovers the thread that will lead him to the killer.
