Le Travail du castor(2019)

Le Travail du castor is a French film following Eric, a newly hired employee at a sprawling hypermarket owned by a wealthy and enigmatic businessman. His job seems straightforward: stock the shelves. But as Eric navigates the cavernous space, he discovers that conventional logic and practical purpose dissolve into absurdity. The massive store operates by its own incomprehensible rules, leaving him increasingly bewildered. A thick 400-page contract looms over his employment, its fine print suggesting he should have read more carefully before accepting the position. The film explores themes of labor, corporate bureaucracy, and the surreal disconnect between expectation and reality in the modern workplace.
