Augusta, Gone(2006)
Fifteen's no fairy tale.
Augusta, Gone is a drama following Martha, a divorced businesswoman raising two children, as her teenage daughter Augusta undergoes a disturbing personality shift. What begins as typical adolescent rebellion escalates into something darker—anger and self-hatred consume the girl, alarming her mother. Desperate to help, Martha consults an educational specialist who recommends sending Augusta to a wilderness camp designed for troubled teens. The film explores the fraught relationship between parent and child, the limits of intervention, and what happens when a family fractures under the weight of mental health crisis. Martha must confront whether tough love and institutional solutions can truly reach a daughter spiraling beyond her grasp.
