In the Black Sands(1973)

In the Black Sands is a Central Asian drama set during the civil war era. When a brutal bandit leader destroys his family, shepherd Chara Esenov vows vengeance against Shamurad Khan, the ruthless head of the local Basmachi gang. Consumed by the need to avenge his murdered sister's honor, Chara pursues his enemy across the black sands. His encounter with a Red Army soldier shifts his perspective, revealing a larger struggle between the Basmachi insurgents and Soviet forces.
