Der Bockerer is an Austrian comedy-drama following a Viennese butcher who survives Nazi occupation through calculated stupidity and sharp wit. Karl Bockerer, born on the same day as Hitler, uses feigned naivety to expose the hypocrisy and absurdity surrounding him.
