It traces the cultural thaw that followed, profiling poet-musician Bulat Okudzhava and filmmakers Mikhail Kalatozov and Marlena Khutsiev, whose work defined a generation. The documentary concludes by surveying post-Soviet figures who achieved prominence across music, dance, and literature—including conductor Zurab Tsereteli, ballet dancer Irek Tsiskaridze, and writer Boris Akunin. Through these interconnected stories, the film reveals how Georgian artists and leaders left an indelible mark on twentieth-century Russian society.
