Code of the Cow Country is a Western film centered on Jim West, a ranch foreman who falls for Helen, the boss's daughter, after saving her from a runaway horse. When Helen's brother Ted falls under the influence of Bill Jackson, a cunning gambler and saloon keeper, he's coerced into signing away debts he can't pay. Jim teams up with Red Irwin, a tough deputy sheriff, to confront Jackson and extract a confession. But Jackson retaliates by plotting a cattle raid and forcing Ted into complicity. A dancehall girl named Dolores discovers the scheme and warns Jim, though her interference causes Helen to doubt his intentions. Caught between loyalty and love, Jim must navigate the code of the frontier to protect the Calhoun family and clear his name.
