Pentecost(2010)

Pentecost is an Irish drama set in 1977 that follows eleven-year-old Damian Lynch, who's given a last-minute chance to serve as an altar boy at an important parish mass. Fresh off a three-month ban from football—his only passion—after a mishap that knocked Father O'Toole off the altar, Damian faces a high-stakes bargain: perform the mass flawlessly and his father will let him attend Liverpool FC's first-ever European Cup final in two weeks. Fail, and he misses the match of a lifetime. Caught between the demands of the church and his desperate love of the game, Damian must decide whether to conform or sacrifice his dream.
