The Alan Thicke Show(1980)

The Alan Thicke Show is a Canadian talk show that aired on CTV from 1980 to 1983, hosted by Alan Thicke. Launched after Alan Hamel's departure from the network's daytime lineup, the one-hour program became a success during its three-year run. Produced at BCTV Vancouver, the show attracted U.S. guests more easily than competitors and spawned Prime Cuts, a prime-time half-hour spinoff series featuring highlights from episodes. The program also aired under the title Fast Company. Thicke's Canadian success led to a move south of the border, where he hosted the syndicated Thicke of the Night, though that venture proved less popular than his CTV predecessor.
