The Day of Days(2013)

The Day of Days is a Hong Kong series set in the early years of the Republic of China, following gang leader So Fei as he navigates the underworld of Guangzhou. When So Fei's labour business faces financial trouble, he mistakes the easygoing Sung Lai-Wo for a close relative of the powerful Tong family and attempts to exploit him for profit through a new dock venture. The scheme unravels when Lai-Wo proves to be merely a layabout, while the true power behind the Tong family is Tong Nga-Wun, a shrewd businesswoman and the family's eldest daughter. As So Fei's ambitions collide with Nga-Wun's business acumen, tensions rise in a world where loyalty and deception shape every deal. The series explores themes of brotherhood, greed, and the clash between old-world gang culture and modern commerce.
