Yat, The Space Patrol(1996)

Yat, The Space Patrol is a sci-fi series set in the year 5808, when dimensional tunnels enable travel across the galaxy. Teenager Goro Hoshiwatari walks into Yamamoto Anshin Travel, a struggling agency on Earth, searching for his father who vanished fifteen years earlier. He meets the YAT staff and falls for Katsura Tenjouin, the president's daughter. After accidentally causing damage, Goro is drafted to work off the debt. As he continues hunting for his father, he navigates chaotic space tours, encounters enka-singing pirates, dodges romantic advances from a rival agency's heiress, and helps the team pursue dubious money-making schemes.
