50 Grand Slam(1976)

50 Grand Slam is a game show that aired on NBC for just under three months in 1976. Hosted by Tom Kennedy with announcer John Harlan, the series premiered on October 4 and concluded on December 31 of that year. The show's brief run was bookended by scheduling changes on the network—it replaced Stumpers!, which ended the same day, and was itself replaced by another Kennedy-hosted program, Name That Tune, the following Monday. Allen Ludden, host of the departing Stumpers!, made a guest appearance on the premiere to offer Kennedy his best wishes. Produced by Ralph Andrews Productions, 50 Grand Slam remains a footnote in NBC's game show history from the mid-1970s.
