Foolish Heart(1999)

Foolish Heart is a Canadian dramatic anthology series that aired on CBC Television in 1999. Created and written by Ken Finkleman, the six-episode run explores family and romantic entanglements through interconnected character arcs. Each episode zeroes in on a different protagonist navigating relationship turmoil, with Finkleman himself appearing as George Findlay, a character he'd previously played in Finkleman's earlier series The Newsroom and More Tears. The ensemble cast includes Arsinée Khanjian, Sarah Strange, Tom McCamus, Nancy Beatty and Patricia O'Callaghan. Finkleman's direction earned him a 1999 Gemini Award for Best Direction in a Dramatic Series. The series marked a brief but critically recognized chapter in Canadian television drama before Finkleman moved on to his next CBC project, Foreign Objects.
