Dreams and Glory(2021)

Dreams and Glory is a historical drama set in early twentieth-century China, during an era of warlord violence and political upheaval. The series follows the young Mao Zedong as he embraces Marxist ideology under mentors Li Dazhao and Chen Duxiu, helping to establish the Communist Party of China. Alongside him, worker Zhao Yu follows the revolutionary cause, while others around them choose different paths—Chiang Kai-shek turns against the movement, and Li Chunfeng joins the reactionary forces. As tensions escalate, Mao launches the Autumn Harvest Uprising and retreats to Jinggangshan to build a revolutionary base, transforming Zhao Yu into a committed soldier of the cause. The drama captures the idealism and sacrifice of those who shaped modern China.
