On the Nameless Height(2004)

On the Nameless Height is a World War II drama set in the Belarusian forests near the Polish border during Operation Bagration in summer 1944. As the Red Army prepares a major advance, a seemingly insignificant unnamed hill becomes a deadly obstacle. A highly skilled German sniper controls the position, turning the terrain into a killing ground. Major Inozemtsev, the local commander, grows convinced the hill is a carefully laid trap. Tension mounts as Soviet forces must decide whether to assault the position or find another route forward. The film captures the brutal calculus of warfare, where geography, marksmanship, and military strategy collide in the forests of Eastern Europe.
