The Charlie Horse Music Pizza(1998)

The Charlie Horse Music Pizza is a children's series that aired on PBS from January to May 1998, with reruns continuing through 1999 and occasional broadcasts in 2000. A spin-off of Lamb Chop's Play-Along, the show was created by and starred Shari Lewis, who championed music education for young viewers. Set in a beachside pizzeria, the series featured Lewis alongside familiar characters like Lamb Chop and Charlie Horse, plus new additions: Take-Out, a roller-skating orangutan delivery driver; Fingers, a purple raccoon living in the dumpster; Cookie, an opera-loving cook; and Junior, a part-time worker and tuba player. The show went on hiatus in May following Lewis's hospitalization and was ultimately cancelled after her death in August.
