Hi-5 is an Australian children's television series that debuted on the Nine Network in 1999. Part pop music group, part educational program, the show combines catchy performances with arts and crafts instruction, earning it comparisons to The Wiggles. Hi-5 expanded to broadcast in approximately 80 countries worldwide. The series typically produces 45 episodes annually organized around nine weekly themes, though production varied during touring years. In 2009, a new generation of performers took over after the original cast departed, with the Nine Network renewing the show for five additional years. The franchise expanded into film with Some Kind of Wonderful, released in 2013, documenting cast transitions and the search for new members. The show later evolved into Hi-5 House, filmed in Singapore, while the group continued touring across Asia with the Hi-5 Wonderful Tour.
