Abdul Kader the Foreigner is a drama following Herbert Doperfield, a man devastated by the deaths of his brother and brother-in-law during World War II. Seeking solace and renewal, he travels to Sudan where he converts to Islam and adopts the name Abdul Kader. He eventually settles in Upper Egypt, where he encounters a woman from one of the region's prominent families and falls in love with her.
