Swiss Family Robinson(1974)

Swiss Family Robinson is a 1974–1975 Canadian drama series adapted from Johann David Wyss' classic novel. The show follows a shipwrecked family stranded on a remote island, forced to build a new life from scratch using ingenuity and teamwork. Though based on the beloved source material, the series takes creative liberties with the original story. Twenty-six half-hour episodes were produced before the show ended after one season, largely due to ABC's competing American adaptation launching in 1975. Despite its brief run, Swiss Family Robinson found a long afterlife in Canadian syndication, becoming a Saturday morning staple for viewers across the country.
