To Catch a Predator(2004)

To Catch a Predator is an American reality series that aired on Dateline NBC, featuring undercover sting operations designed to expose adults attempting to solicit minors online. The show worked with the watchdog group Perverted-Justice to impersonate underage people and lure suspects to meet locations, where host Chris Hansen confronted them on camera. From its November 2004 premiere through December 2007, the series conducted twelve investigations across the United States. Starting with the third installment, law enforcement became involved, resulting in arrests of most individuals caught. The format proved influential, spawning local versions on NBC affiliates and spin-offs tackling other crimes like identity theft and car theft. To Catch a Predator later aired internationally on FX, Crime & Investigation Network, and FOX Crime in various territories.
