Chimudondon follows Higa Nobuko, raised in a farmhouse in Okinawa's rural Yanbaru region alongside four siblings. Drawn to the island's distinctive culinary traditions, Nobuko pursues her dream of becoming a chef. As the siblings scatter across different paths in life, their shared childhood memories and deep roots in their homeland become an anchor through personal struggles. The series explores how family bonds and the pull of home sustain them through hardship, weaving together individual journeys with the warmth of Okinawan culture and the enduring ties that hold them together.
