Stand By Your Man(1992)

Stand by Your Man is an American sitcom that aired on Fox for just six weeks in spring 1992. Created by Nancy Steen and Neil Thompson as an adaptation of the British hit Birds of a Feather, the series marked Melissa Gilbert's return to television after nine years away from Little House on the Prairie. It also gave Rosie O'Donnell her first lead role in a sitcom, arriving just as she was beginning her rise to stardom. Though short-lived, Stand by Your Man captured a moment when both its stars were poised for major career shifts in Hollywood.
