Barareh Nights(2005)

Barareh Nights is an Iranian comedy series starring Mehran Modiri as Shir Farhad, son of Lower Barare's khan. When a Tehran journalist named Kiyanush flees government persecution and is bitten by a snake, Shir Farhad rescues him and brings him to the remote village of Barare to recover. As Kiyanush regains his strength, Shir Farhad introduces him to the village's colorful cast: his own family, the rival khan families of Upper and Lower Barare, the eccentric poet Baguri, and the local doctor. The outsider's arrival disrupts village life and sparks unexpected connections. Later seasons expand the ensemble with new arrivals including the village gendarme and the Upper Khan's children, Keivun and Leilun. The series blends humor with the clash between urban sophistication and rural tradition.
