Communion(2022)

Communion is a Hong Kong drama series that follows two divorced restaurateurs, Au Yiu-cho and Tang Lai-kuen, who each run a restaurant called Yuet Tak House—one in Hong Kong, one on the mainland. Their uneasy truce shatters when Lai-kuen returns to Hong Kong in 2022 to claim the trademark through legal action. Their younger son Ka-kin enters a Greater Bay Area entrepreneurship competition where he reconnects with his estranged older brother Ka-him, now an instructor, and meets fellow competitor Cheung Loi. The three team up to launch a metaverse version of Yuet Tak House, but both the physical store and its digital counterpart face copyright infringement lawsuits. As the family navigates legal battles and personal conflict, they must confront whether they can rebuild the love and understanding that once bound them together.
