Evli ve Çocuklu(2004)
Evli ve Çocuklu is a Turkish sitcom that adapted the American comedy Married... with Children for local audiences. Airing on Kanal D in 2004, the series ran for eight episodes and faithfully recreated the original's domestic humor and family dynamics with Turkish characters and settings. The show mirrored its American counterpart scene-for-scene, translating scripts, jokes, and episode titles while swapping names: Al Bundy became Niyazi Tonguç, Peggy transformed into Jale, and the children were renamed Efe and Tugba. Evli ve Çocuklu captured the irreverent, working-class comedy of the original, centering on a struggling family navigating marriage, parenting, and everyday mishaps with cynical wit and slapstick humor.
