Buried Sins(2022)

Buried Sins is a Malaysian crime series that returns Inspector Munir to his hometown of Seri Daik after 17 years, drawn back by the murder of an undocumented teenager. There he confronts Ustaz Yusof, a religious scholar and former friend whom Munir holds responsible for his sister's death during a botched exorcism. Yusof suspects the killer may be supernatural, while Munir remains skeptical. When a second teenager vanishes under strange circumstances, the two men are forced into an uneasy alliance. As they investigate, they unearth a sinister mystery buried deep within their small town, where past trauma and present darkness collide. The series blends crime procedural with supernatural horror, exploring themes of faith, guilt, and redemption against a backdrop of rural Malaysia.
