Tokyo Woman(2023)

Tokyo Woman is a Japanese drama series following two women whose lives intersect in Tokyo after a chance encounter. Miyata Makiko, a caregiver from Toyama, has drifted through life following others' expectations—marriage, work, the conventional path—without discovering what she truly wants. When a robber unexpectedly hands her a Boston bag containing 30 million yen, she impulsively boards a bus to Tokyo to escape her old life. There she meets a woman from a different generation and background, and the two form an unlikely friendship. As they navigate the city together, both women begin to question the lives they've built and explore who they might become when freed from obligation and routine.
