Three Little Birds is a period drama set in 1957, in the post-Windrush era of promise and cultural ferment. The series follows three Jamaican women—the gregarious sisters Leah and Chantrelle, and their devout friend Hosanna—as they board a cruise ship bound for Britain, seeking new lives in a country transformed by rock and roll, Hollywood glamour, and bold fashion. Against the backdrop of a booming decade, the women navigate the hopes and challenges of migration, their bond tested by ambition, faith, and the complexities of arrival in a foreign land. Three Little Birds captures a pivotal moment in British-Caribbean history through the intimate stories of those who lived it.
