Schneekind – Ein Schwarzwaldkrimi is a German crime drama that begins when a hiker is discovered dead in a remote Black Forest location known as the "Murder Hole," accompanied by a melting snowman missing one eye. A series of murders follows, each victim bearing identical marks: frostbite and a black gemstone covering the left eye. Detectives Maris Bächle and Konrad Diener focus their investigation on Florentin Sneelin, a reproductive doctor living in a moated castle with a mysterious ice cellar. The suspect once shared a traumatic childhood with the victims at a brutal children's home, where a cruel caste system determined their fates. Sneelin occupied the lowest rank, branded a "Snow Child"—unwanted by his own father. As the investigation deepens, the detectives must uncover whether childhood cruelty has driven Sneelin to murder, or if darker secrets lie buried in the forest.
