Heritage(2024)

Heritage is a Russian drama about Victor, a middle-aged man who fled to Italy decades ago to escape persecution. After 25 years abroad, he's built a comfortable life with money and work, but decides to return to Russia to reconnect with his estranged wife and three adult children he barely knows. Victor arrives with a plan: rebuild his family relationships and confront the man responsible for his exile. His sudden reappearance as a wealthy stranger initially unsettles his sharp-tongued adult children, but they quickly recognize his financial potential. As Victor attempts to bridge a quarter-century gap, the family must navigate conflicting emotions—resentment, curiosity, and self-interest—while discovering whether reconciliation is possible after so much time apart.
