Made in Germany is a six-episode German series following six friends in their early twenties navigating adulthood in Berlin. Coumba, Ani, Zehra, Jamila, Mo, and Nikki are second-generation immigrants balancing family expectations, cultural traditions, and personal identity. As they pursue their own dreams, they grapple with urgent questions: how to support parents navigating bureaucracy, whether their heritage defines their relationships, and how to come out in conservative households. The series explores the tension between honoring family values and forging independent paths, touching on education, belonging, and self-discovery. Made in Germany captures the lived experience of young people caught between two worlds, searching for authenticity while building their futures in a complex, multicultural society.
