Candlestick(2014)

Candlestick is an Iranian series following two families living in the same residential complex. The Mazaheri household centers on Houshang and his wife Zohreh, whose adult children include Sara, a bank employee struggling after failing her medical specialization exam, and Saeed, who remains unemployed. Next door, the Saadati family—led by Atta, who harbors tensions with Houshang—includes Shirin and their young son Arshia, a curious and mischievous boy. As daily life unfolds in their shared space, conflicts simmer between the fathers while the families navigate personal disappointments, economic pressures, and the complications of living in close quarters. The series explores how neighboring households intersect, clash, and ultimately depend on one another.
