Our House(1960)

Our House is a British comedy series following seven strangers who pool their money to buy a sprawling property they can all afford. The ensemble cast includes Georgina, a librarian; Simon, a council official; Daisy, perpetually out of work; Captain Illiffe, a gruff Yorkshire sailor, and his French wife who loves to sing; newlyweds the Hattons; and Gordon, a law student. As this mismatched group attempts to live under one roof, their clashing personalities and wildly different lifestyles create constant friction. The show mines comedy from the everyday chaos of communal living, exploring how people from opposite ends of society navigate shared spaces, finances, and domestic routines.
