Nothing In Common(1987)

Nothing in Common is a 1987 NBC sitcom starring Todd Waring and Bill Macy as estranged father and son David and Max Basner. The series aired seven episodes in the coveted slot immediately following the hit show Cheers, but failed to build an audience and was quickly cancelled. The show was adapted from the 1986 film of the same name, which starred Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason in the same roles. Waring would later take on another Hanks part, appearing in the Disney television sequel Splash, Too.
