Voyage of the Unicorn(2001)

Voyage of the Unicorn is a fantasy series that begins when nine-year-old Cassie Aisling, grieving her mother's death, finds her daydreams of her mother's unfinished magical world becoming real. Trolls start appearing, and the Aisling family is suddenly pulled through a vortex between worlds and onto a mysterious ship called the Unicorn. There, they learn they've been chosen for an extraordinary quest: to find a magical dragon.
