Slinger's Day(1986)

Slinger's Day is a British sitcom that aired on ITV from 1986 to 1987. Created by Brian Cooke and produced by Thames Television, the show served as a spiritual successor to Tripper's Day, following the death of Leonard Rossiter and poor audience reception of its predecessor. Bruce Forsyth stars as the harried manager of a Supafare supermarket, presiding over a chaotic team of incompetent staff members. Though several cast members from the original series returned for the first run, the second series introduced fresh characters and storylines. Comprising two six-episode seasons, Slinger's Day marked Forsyth's only venture into sitcom acting; he remained best known for his work in stand-up comedy and game show hosting.
