Van Oekel's Discohoek is a Dutch television series that aired on VPRO from 1974 to 1975. The show stars Dolf Brouwers as the abrasive Sjef van Oekel, a host who relentlessly interrupts and insults performing artists during their lip-synched musical numbers. Written by Wim T. Schippers and produced by Ellen Jens, the series is a sharp parody of music television programs of the era, puncturing the pretense of contemporary pop shows with absurdist humor and deliberate chaos.
