A Song to Remember(2011)

A Song to Remember is a historical-musical drama set in 1930s–1940s Singapore, before World War II. The series follows interconnected lives during a transformative era, blending period detail with musical performances. Qi Yuwu and Joanne Peh reunite for their third collaboration, alongside Eelyn Kok, Julie Tan, and Desmond Tan. Chen Hanwei and Kok anchor the drama's darker tensions as antagonistic forces. Scriptwriter Ang Ee Tee spent years developing the narrative, and MediaCorp invested heavily in production and promotion. Despite these efforts, the series struggled to connect with audiences upon its 2011 debut, with viewers finding the pacing uneven and some performances uneven. The drama aired weeknights on Channel 8 and became available for catchup viewing shortly after broadcast.
