Baker Boys(2011)

Baker Boys is a Welsh drama series that follows the workers of Valley Bara bakery, the economic heart of a small fictional South Wales village. When recession strikes, the bakery closes overnight, leaving generations of employees suddenly jobless. The series explores how a tight-knit community unravels when the workplace that sustained them disappears. Created by Helen Raynor and Gary Owen with creative input from Russell T Davies, Baker Boys is a blue-collar drama that examines resilience, loss, and survival in the face of economic collapse. The show premiered on BBC One Wales in January 2011.
