H.R. Pufnstuf(1969)

H.R. Pufnstuf is a children's television series created by Sid and Marty Krofft that premiered in 1969. The show broke ground as the first live-action, life-size puppet program from the legendary producers, featuring seventeen episodes that originally aired on NBC's Saturday morning lineup from September to December 1969. The series proved popular enough to remain in rotation until 1972, shot primarily at Paramount Studios with its iconic opening filmed at Big Bear Lake, California. H.R. Pufnstuf subsequently aired in reruns across ABC and in syndication throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, becoming a cult classic. TV Guide later ranked it among the network's most memorable shows, cementing its place in children's television history.
