This Man Craig(1966)

This Man Craig is a BBC Scotland drama series that aired across 52 episodes in 1966 and 1967. Set in the fictional Scottish town of Strathaird, the show follows Ian Craig, an idealistic science teacher and housemaster navigating the everyday challenges of school life alongside his pupils and colleagues. Filmed at Glasgow's Bellahouston Academy and Glenwood School, the series captures the tensions and triumphs within a secondary school community. The first series ran for 26 episodes from January to July 1966, with the second series following from September 1966 to March 1967. The opening sequence features Craig driving across the newly built Forth Road Bridge, then a symbol of Scottish pride. Only one episode survives in the BBC archives today, making This Man Craig a largely lost piece of British television history.
